The power of Google.

So tonight I get an e-mail from my friend Kevin that Trip Park has contacted him about the man behind these blogs because of a Google alert set up for the Rotten School books. Now on one hand this is really cool, as Trip instantly became one of my favorite artists after seeing his work on the R.L. Stine Rotten School series. On the other hand it then occurred to me that I just kind of whimsically throw up posts on my blogs without thought to who might be reading them and what they could take from them.  And up until this moment I didn't really care because after all this is just a hobby and I am just kind of learning as I can.

What this blog is about:

So let me take a moment to spell out the meaning of my ADP Blog for those outside of the ADP class. ADP is short for the Mastering Maya: Advanced Digital Production class over at 3D Buzz. Everything in this blog is about the assignments we as students are working on for the class. Basically a short animation.

My Idea:

Mine started as several original ideas that would have been too much to handle in the class, so I will save them for a time when I have more experience under my belt, and more than 6 months to produce. The idea I decided on was meant to just be something that I could just have fun doing. So I started with the idea to spoof the 3D Buzz TV and News that they put on but to make them kids. It was from here that I decided that I liked the dynamics of the Harry Potter series revolving around a school, and after my daughter explained the Rotten school series the idea of a boarding school really fit well. It is growing from there as I continue to be inspired.
